fall 2011 bridal trends

It has been a week since we returned from bridal market and we are still reeling from all of the beauty that graced the runways.  The overall trend for market was feminity.  Tulle made its way into every designer's collection in some way shape or form.

From fitted gowns to full on ball skirts, soft fabrics reigned supreme. Frothy confections floated down all of the runways.  There continues to be lots of texture in all of the collections.  Both swiss dot and my personal favorite, point d'esprit were consistent across collections.  Ruffles, layers and flowers were a common theme.

Color played an important roll in all of the collections. From lightly colored sashes in hues of blues and pinks to pastel gowns, the introduction of color topped off the overall feminine feel.

Black accents continued to also be a consistent theme through many of the collections.

The trends in silhouettes were full soft skirts, natural waists and one shoulders.

All of the stunning feminine details were a girly girls dream come true.  All of this fabulousness does come at a price though!  We saw retails come up quite a bit this season.  The price of silk and lace has gone up considerably.  That fact coupled with  all of the stunning dress maker details, made the prices rise.  But, the good news is that gowns look like they are worth every penny!

Stay tuned for a recap of the fun parties that we attended and the exciting new lines that we picked up!
